Year of Pig

With the upcoming YEAR OF PIG approaching, we have once again designed a one of a kind, Mid-West/Chinese New Year calendar as our annual, fund-raiser for Little Artshram. The calendar sales  go directly into the cost of producing and printing the calendar– and the Little Artshram Scholarship Fund for our Summer Art-Farm and  Community Garden Project.

Please consider supporting our efforts to connect children and teens with creative, outdoor adventures and community gardening!  We are asking a $20.00 donation for a black and white/11″ X 17″, 13 month calendar(Feb 2007-Feb 2008), with 13 original portraits of fine, swine!

As we enter into Pig Year, we will honor, gain a deeper understanding and appreciation of our rooting friend, and, the lessons this wise creature offers us in year 2007. We invite you to participate by submitting photos, stories, poems, songs from your own pig experiences.  We already have a few and I’ll begin posting them after the holidays.

To order a calendar or for a list of local Traverse City businesses that are selling them, you may email, penny@littleartshram.org.   You may also snail mail your request or submissions, to: Little Artshram, P.O. Box 166, Empire, MI 49630

My sister’s sparkly christmas tree

Just a little glitter and brightness at this dark time of year. Compliments of my sister Clarice. She is a funny one. Because of being out of work (her second job as a diner chick) for the past three months, she is not buying or giving gifts in her usual sense. She is hosting the family holiday gathering, and so decked out a tree and put a message underneath it for all of us to figure out. I’ll give it to you LARGE so you get the sincere sparkle of it all—-Peace, love and blessings….. My sisters glittery tree and one present.
