Pep Rally for the Globally warmed….

Here is our final script for the Earth Day fiesta!

Pep Rally for the Globally Warmed
with theTipping Point Radical Cheerleaders!


Performers:
Caller
Chicken, Pig and Cow Squad
Air Squad
Fire Squad
Water Squad
Earth Squad
Spirit Squad

Chicken, Pig and Cow Squad:
Call: Squad set?
A: You Bet! (Turn around to the right and shake your piggy/chicken/cow/animal tails, then turn back forward to the left)

spell it 3x
T-I-P-P-I-N-G-P-O-I-N-T! (clap clap)

Stop, Observe. The Tipping Point is the word
Stop, Observe. We barnyard girls we must be heard
Stop, Observe. The Tipping Point is the word.

Call: Tip it back
A: WAY BACK(clap clap)

repeat many times

Cheers for our Elemental Sections:

Air Squad:
Call: Ready to call in Air?
Squad: Let’s blow!

*sung to the tune of “dust in the wind”

We call on the wind, the east is where day begins.
We breathe with our kin, and vision the world we can win.

(Rhythmic chant) Breathe out. Breathe in. Breathe out. Breathe in.

squad whoops, jumps around, kicks etc. “Welcome Eagle!!”

Fire Squad:
Call: Ready to call in Fire?
Squad: Let’s glow!

*done in traditional cheerleader style

Call: Our sun is what?
A: Red Hot!
(repeat 2x)

together: ” Our sun is R-E-D red! H-O-T hot!
You can’t beat the watts we got,
Red Hot!  (clap clap) Solar Power (clap clap)
Red Hot! (clap clap) Solar Power (clap clap)

can repeat entire cheer if you wanna

Welcome Sun! (jump around kick, yell etc.)

Water Squad:
Call: Ready to call Water?
Squad: Let’s flow!

*done to the tune of Beastie Boys “Slow and Low”- this requires mouth
beat boxers!

(One person calls cheer- everyone comes in on words that rhyme with flow)

“Water flows, rivers and snows, Tides they move to lunar tempos!
Your dam may blow so dig the swale hole, Rehydrate with erosion control!
Meander flow, the ocean she grows, stop melting the poles, know what
she knows!”

Everyone cheers- Welcome water – jump around etc.

Earth Squad:
Call: Ready to call Earth?
Squad: Let’s Get down and wiggle!

Cheer all together- as you come to the end be lowering selves to ground level then
jump up and welcome Turtle:

Wiggle, wiggle worm under the ground,
Wiggle, wiggle worm through the earth,
Wiggle, wiggle worm chompin’ on the waste,
Turn it into compost
How does it taste?
LIKE DIRT!

Everyone jumps up- “Welcome Earth- yells, kicks etc.”

Spirit Squad:
Call: Ready to call Spirit?
Squad: Let’s Do it!

(traditional cheer style)

“We got spirit yes we do, we got spirit how bout you? (boisterous)
“We got spirit yes we do, we got spirit how bout you? (soft and whispery)
“We got spirit yes we do, we got spirit how bout you? (loud and
challenging)

You can’t un-fry an egg! NO-NO!

(jump around and yell ‘Welcome spirit! kicks etc.)

Earth Day, every day, counting down with 4 days to go…

Join us in the 18th Annual Grand Traverse Community Celebration of Earth Day!

EARTH DAY PARADE

Saturday, April 21, 1:00 PM

Parade lineup begins at 12 noon at Central Grade School (7th & Pine) Watch the parade downtown on Union, Park, Front and State Streets! Bad weather date is April 28th

After the parade, (around 2 pm) join us for,

“The Tipping Point” Puppet and Mask Performance,

presented by 5th & 6th year Central Grade Montessori students, Little Artshram & Rhythmic Adventures and friends.

and Community Picnic

hosted at Hannah Park (6th & Union)

Please bring a dish to pass or food for your family, a picnic blanket and your own table service. Food can be dropped off at the park before the parade.
