Summer opportunity to learn, teach, dig in the earth, make art……

This Summer would you like to become a part of the Little Artshram Collective of artists, musicians, gardeners, and socially conscious folks who are learning about and having fun with a magical blend of puppet, mask and art-making, gardening, exploring wild, rural & urban green spaces and dreaming up community gatherings?

From June 18-22nd, we’re offering an introduction to our Art-Farm Permaculture curriculum and Apprentice and Teacher Training for anyone 13 years and older! We are asking participants to give a donation of between $75 and $150 for this training, and we can accept partial payment in Bay Bucks.

After you’ve completed the Training course, Teaching and apprentice positions are available for our 2007 Summer Art-Farm Camps.

Art-Farm Teacher Training (21 years & older)

Thursday through Saturday, June 21 and 23, 9-5 PM

Artist Apprentice/Mentoring Program: Jr. and Sr. High students (13-20 years):

Monday through Friday, June 18-22, 10-3 PM

Where? At the Community Gardens near the Barns at the Old State Hospital.

Each day, please bring a sack lunch, drinking water, notebook, work-clothes/gloves, & your imagination!

We will contact Teachers/Apprentice applicants prior to June 18th, with our Training course agenda. Please forward your email address, mailing address and phone # to us asap.

Apprentices are asked to choose 1-2 weeks of the Beehive Program dates (June 25-29, July 16-20, July 23-27, or August 6-10, August 13-17) to work as assistants and will receive a stipend and/or internship credit.

Art-Farm Teachers will be offered part-time positions in the Beehive Program and will receive a stipend and free veggies and flowers!

Little Artshram is an arts and environmental education organization that’s served hundreds of children ages 5 through young adults, and their families, with classes, workshops, residency programs, and community-wide celebrations since 2000.

Mission: “Our work and play fosters alternative education through a unique combination of permaculture principles, visual, musical and puppet artistry, service to the natural world and inclusive social activism. We provide programs which inspire and educate people of all ages to live creatively and in harmony with nature.”
